Dr. Orla Nic Suibhne from the Western Development Commission and the LECo project was recently nominated by the Climate Ambassador Programme for the “Champion of Renewables” award at the annual Irish Wind Energy Association Awards. Orla was one of the first An Taisce Climate Ambassadors in the country when the programme started in 2018. The awards took place in the Clontarf Castle on January 24th . The award went to Marie Donnelly who has over 30 years’ experience leading DG Energy in the European Commission and is a worthy winner.
